Woodland Hills, CA – June 29, 2025
In a match that marked the end of a historic first season, LA Dynamo rose to the occasion and delivered a composed, dominant performance to secure a 2-0 win in the UPSL promotion final. The victory not only capped off a remarkable campaign but officially punched the team’s ticket to the UPSL Premier Division for next season.
Facing off against a strong Anaheim Flash FC side, LA Dynamo showed why they’ve been one of the most exciting teams in the division this year.
The breakthrough came in the first half when Thaabit calmly slotted home the opener after a well-worked team move. The early lead settled the nerves and set the tone for the rest of the match.
In the second half, Adrian doubled the lead with a stunning strike from outside the box — a goal that sent the home crowd into celebration mode and gave Dynamo breathing room heading into the final stretch.
Defensively, the team stayed locked in, with David coming up clutch with a massive penalty save to preserve the clean sheet and momentum. From front to back, LA Dynamo looked sharp, motivated, and unified.
“It’s been a dream first season,” said head coach Michael Shver. “A lot of us grew up playing together, and to now win promotion together — it means everything. This is just the beginning.”
With the win, LA Dynamo closes out the season with a second-place finish in the regular standings, followed by a perfect playoff run — and now looks ahead to next year’s challenge in the UPSL Premier Division, with eyes on a national title.
